TB-500: expanded research context
TB-500 is a synthetic version of the active 17-amino-acid fragment (residues 17–23) of thymosin β4. Thymosin β4 is a G-actin sequestering peptide implicated in cell migration, angiogenesis, and dermal, corneal and cardiac wound repair. TB-500 is used as a research reference for regenerative-signalling studies in soft tissue and vascular models.
Reported half-life is short, but downstream effects on actin cytoskeletal reorganisation persist beyond plasma exposure in in-vitro assays. Regulatory status mirrors BPC-157: TB-500 is prohibited by WADA (S2 peptide hormones and mimetics) and is not a licensed medicine.
